Titanium Diboride – The brand new universal coin stamp coating for the Platin S-MPulse

Summary

In close collaboration with coin stamp manufacturers, Platit has developed the next generation of coin stamp PVD coatings for the highly sophisticated and cost-efficient In-House PVD-hard coating system Platit S-MPulse. Key feature of this novel, universal Titanium Diboride hard coating is the extremely broad application range: Within a single batch it can be utilized for both, circulation and proof coins as well as for a vast variety of coin materials. Further the coating is environmentally friendly and 100% Cr-free.

Speaker: Dr. Juri Wehrs

Dr. Juri Wehrs graduated in Mechanical Engineering at TU-Braunschweig and holds a PhD in Materials Science from ETH. He works with Platit AG since 2017 where is responsible for customer sampling and application development.

Speaker: Axel Nann
