Presentation by INORCOAT & University of Minho:

New and innovative, high-strength, long-lasting PVD coatings

Summary

INORCOAT has been working for a long time on chrome-free coating solutions for the coin and printing industry with comparable or even better properties than chrome based coatings.

The outcome is a new group of coatings named „CircuCoat®“ which has been developed in one of the most compact and efficient PVD coating systems for the coin and die industry – brand new and cutting edge: the MS 700.

Speaker: Romain Waidelich

Master of international management, Romain Waidelich, having worked several years in various multinational acting companies, decided to found INORCOAT, a company focused on PVD Coating solutions.

During this time, Romain Waidelich, had the opportunity to learn a lot about minting coins including the related challenges and complications.

Speaker: Prof. Dr. Ing Martin Andritschky

Prof. Dr. Ing Martin Andritschky, German, working since 1986 on PVD coatings in industrial (Technical Director for several companies) and academic (Full Professor at the University of Minho in Portugal) environment .  He developed EMI Shielding on plastic substrates, functional coatings on metallic substrates for the minting and printing industry and, lately, coloured decorative coatings on plastic substrates. Coatings are developed in the academic research labs and then transferred to the industrial
environment.
