Optimization of strip and ingot production through servomotor-driven height-adjustable pusher tables in cold rolling mills
Summary
By using specially developed height-adjustable infeed tables, it is possible to optimize the quantity, especially in the semi-automatic production of strips and billets.
The combination of automatic roll gap adjustment, non-contact laser strip thickness measurement and the automatic height-adjustable pusher table allows the strip and ingot producer to optimize in several areas at the same time.
In addition to the increased throughput in automatic reversing operation up to the end product, the precise guidance of the material also leads to better surfaces, less saber formation and likewise tighter tolerances in the strip and thus to a higher yield overall.
